About Me and How I Can Help You
I'm one of those people who prefer to make their own decisions & keep their affairs private. I believe that if I have a choice, then why would I put my family in a position for the judicial system to intervene and make important decisions for me that are going to affect my family forever?

I learned the specifics about having the correct documents in place and helped a close family member to prepare an estate plan more than 20 years ago. Several years later, tragedy struck, and as difficult as that was to deal with, it was such a relief to be able to ensure that her wishes were honored. Unfortunately, she passed away as a result of the accident, but having an estate plan was such a blessing because we were able to manage her affairs including selling her property without the need for probate. It was simple, private, and stress-free, especially at a time when we had to deal with so many emotions.

Since then, friends and family would ask me about my experience with trusts and the other documents needed and how they could get them. I helped several of them prepare their estate plans too.

Additionally, I am a realtor and over the years I have witnessed so many scenarios that could have been avoided if those folks had just taken the time to get their affairs in order. It's heartbreaking to see families have to deal with the court system, guardianship, probate, and the financial hardship, delays, frustration, and conflict that it can cause.

I started to research how I could help others avoid the trials and tribulations of court interference when a family member becomes ill, incapacitated, or passes away. Knowing that people have the right to legally represent themselves, in a process called pro se (for yourself), I discovered that as a certified member of the Florida Association of Legal Document Preparers, I can help by preparing these essential legal documents for you, as well as explaining procedures and providing legal information. It is important to note that I am not a lawyer, so I cannot give you legal advice.

The steps are fairly simple. My clients provide the required information and my team and I assemble them on the appropriate legal format and documents. A title agent prepares a warranty deed. We notarize the documents for you and then record the warranty deed with the Clerk of Court. We are able to meet your needs at a fraction of the cost of hiring an attorney, with the same results. Many more people around the nation are discovering this approach, and it is becoming a common practice.

Life is uncertain but one thing is for sure, Everyone should have an estate plan. Because if you don't have a plan, your state has one for you, but you probably won't like it. And if you wait till you need it, then it's too late. Create your plan now, It's peace of mind for you and your family.
